Popping my proverbial cherry

So everyone keeps bugging me to start blogging – in all honesty this blog has been in “existence” since around June, however this would be my first official blog post. Now my resistance, apprehension and sheer procrastination in writing my first post is just that, it’s your first, almost like losing your blogging virginity, you want to make sure it’s good. In fact you want to make sure its perfect. Conditions need to be perfect for business time. Sorry, Flight of the Conchords references just sneak up on me at the strangest times, I digress.

I have been deliberating the actual focus and direction of my blog, I mean why have a blog, just so I can say I am a blogger? Just so I can rant about the seemingly meaningless into the vast big black hole of cyber space, so I can amass a bunch of “followers” who either read the blog out of obligation or some skewed motivation? Ok now I just sound cynical. However some clear direction and theme seem to be important to me, I just feel that my blog needs some sort of “vision”, but I figure if I have not experienced my bloggers epiphany by now, then for now I’m just gonna fake it till I feel it, take the over-used, abused and clichéd advice of Nike, and just do it.

So what is my blog gonna be about? Beats me, guess we will just have to wait and see. Will anyone even read it? Well I guess that remains to be seen too, if anything I will force my mom to subscribe, she did always love my school essays ☺  So you are welcome to join me for the ride, or not. Either way I will endeavour to make a concerted effort to put fingers to keyboard and unleash my random ramblings on the world – I read a quote that your blog is the unedited version of yourself – so welcome to the unedited version of me – apologies in advance.
